All good websites will need a design makeover from time to time.
A simple layout change or new colour scheme can give a tired website new vitality and interest. Very few companies would consider producing an offline brochure each year that repeatedly uses the same design style. As long as the branding remains consistent websites should not be any different.
Makeovers can range from a small 'freshen up' to the addition of extra pages and functionality. Popular add-ons in 2nd generation websites include a login area for clients, content management systems (perhaps incorporating an online catalogue), and email newsletter systems.
